Fenwick has it's own groundhog that predicts the end of winter. Each year on groundhog day local elementary students are in vited to Centenial Park, where Flossie has her den, they cheer and shout trying to rouse Flossie from her winter slumber. When she finally wakes and creeps out of her den to predict the length of winter remaining by checking for her shadow the crowds roar with excitement.
